Driving across the Alps with Beamerish

(Alps 2022)

It all started with a trip to Italy with my husband JC. We had just received our new car and wanted to drive somewhere.

Italy? :) Why not? :)

We have always wanted to go there and see all the places. And this time we had a chance to plan nothing and do everything spontaneously. :)) We were so spontaneous that we suddenly found ourselves surrounded by crazy people in the Alps.

I never thought it was possible to get new friends on the internet. But I was wrong.

Never say never, because our new friend group from Beamerish club have become our friends.

It all started with a chat with Beamercouple on Instagram.

The main reason why we got in touch - we loved our cars. We both take driving as relaxation and we love to travel.

At that time we had BMW (F10) and they had BMW (F11)

At first we were in Croatia (Like I said the trip was spontaneous all the time),

and then I saw the post from Beamercouple that they have an event (Beamerish drive.meet.mountain). I don't know why I hadn`t seen it before, but I had a feeling that we need to go there. :) I just contacted them and the answer was positive with a added text - we often don`t meet people from Norway in the Alps, so you are more than welcome. :D

So thats it! Let`s GOOOO.....

We joined them only for one day, but normally it's 3 days. (Now I can tell you a secret - we are going to enjoy the full event this year, Can't wait for it :))))

We met all the BMW drivers at 5.00 am

I remember that first feeling - adrenalin was rushing into my body. The same look I saw in my husband's eyes. :)

It was like heaven, the BMW heaven. Cars are my passion almost since childhood and still are. Driving around with a car is something special for me, but driving across the Alps with like-minded people is something unforgettable.

Everything was amazing. With every step, I fell in love with this event more and more.

The view and mountains were something breathtaking, even though we had seen a lot of them in Norway. Here the scenery was definitely different.

As for the event, everything was planned perfectly. All checking points were thoughtfully planned, and all stops for photoshoots were already checked out before the start of the event. We just needed to enjoy it. We were the only ones with X5 and the guys there came to ask if everything was good. They were worried that we can catch them because there were a lot of fast cars. For example, the BMW M4 (one of my dream car). They offered us that they can slow down. :) That was super nice.

But to be honest, every participant respected the rules and that the event was meant to be a good time. Even when we crossed the villages, everyone's speed was under control. Of course, there were also places where you were allowed to show your drifting skills.

Our plan was just to spend a few hours with everyone and then leave. But then we got an invitation to stay and enjoy dinner with everyone. How can you say "no" to a place like this?! Not us! :)

And of course, the dinner was so delicious and the company even better.

Do you ever have this feeling when you meet someone for the first time but feel like you know them for a while? I can tell, that I had that feeling there.

One thing that gets my attention and admiration in life is a family business. I can listen for hours on how someone started their company or have provided for their family. This time it was this place where we stayed. The family who owns this place has a passion about all the details. That`s why this place is so special. Everyone who comes here wants to return. They put a spell on us too. :)

My emotions that I experience there were unreal and I felt so good all the time. As I told you before, we are going back this year and I will share my journey with you. Life is a beautiful journey, enjoy the ride.
